Giorgio Pacchioni (1947-) is an Italian musician, professor, conductor, and ocarina maker.
Professor Pacchioni was born on the 16th of July, 1947, in Solera, Modena. Before relocating to Brazil, he was chair of recorder at Conservatorio G.B. Martini in Bologna, Italy, from 1977 to 2006. He gained prominence as a reviver of Baroque compositional style.
Pacchioni organized and directs the Ensemble Novecento, a seven-piece classical ocarina group, which plays historically-accurate instruments handmade by Professor Pacchioni.
He makes a full range of ocarinas in the Budrio-style, including both historic reproductions and more modern double ocarinas.
They are very traditional-looking instruments, in the natural clay color, but some also have floral painting on them. They are renowned for their in-tune playability, being instruments that only a musical master could make.
